ARCHAIC is designed as an echo of a distant past – fluid forms melting into one another, creating layers of hue, shadow, and texture. The connection between earth, water, and fire evokes a primal sensation – as if cut from nature and woven into a modern space. The rug is entirely hand-woven from natural fibers, using a spinning technique that allows for a subtle transition between shades without losing the power of the form. Gadi Carmel's design for the TIMELESS collection seeks to remember precisely what is dateless – experience, material, tranquility.
