A custom rug has been designed for a special penthouse in Tel Aviv. The composition of the carpet is wool and tansy. The shape of the carpet is organic rather than rectangular, in order to stimulate flow, just as each conversation is interpreted in space. The tapestry was designed by Italian artist Ivo Bisignano, especially for this unique project.
Alex Maitlis graduated from the Department of Architecture at Bezalel, Jerusalem Academy of Art and Design (1984). He continued his studies at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London (1988). After his studies he engaged in architecture and design, and began his career in the firm Richard Rogers Partnership in London. He then worked for several years with designer Ron Arad in London. In 1993, Alex returned to Israel to set up his architecture firm, where he creates unique designs for clients.
