LEV DESIGNED AN OPEN DOG — ITS ABSTRACT FORM IS BASED ON AN EMOTIONAL PULSE THAT EXPANDS OUTWARD IN WAVES. A composition of uneven circles, in shades of burgundy, dark pink, gold and black, creates a feeling of inner warmth and devotion. The carpet is woven by hand using traditional techniques, from only natural materials. The colors are woven in layers that emphasize the movement from the center to the outside, much like a deep breath. Gadi Carmel's design is based on the idea that emotion is a system — not a moment. The LEV rug brings with it a look inside, before it opens out.
