INK IS A TEXTILE TRANSLATION FOR SPILLED INK -- A PLANNED BUT UNEXPECTED STAIN, FILLED WITH INTERNAL MOVEMENT. The blue-black tones spread in a free composition reminiscent of a traditional Chinese painting or an abstract Rorschach stain. The carpet is woven by hand, incorporating techniques that emphasize the transitions between dark and light, between line and field. Each layer carries with it an emotional depth, and the whole composition creates a feeling of relaxed focus.
