HUE IS BORN OUT OF AN EXPLORATION OF HUE -- NOT AS A PURE COLOR, BUT AS LAYER UPON LAYER, SUBTLE CHANGE THAT OCCURS BETWEEN EDGES. A composition of soft lines in shades of sea green, mint, gray and cream creates a delicate, almost dreamy sense of transparency. THE CARPET IS HAND-WOVEN USING TECHNIQUES THAT EMPHASIZE COLOR DEPTH AND LIGHT TRANSITIONS. Each shade in it changes gradually, creating a feeling of quiet continuity that caresses the eye. Gadi Carmel's design was born out of a search for the moments of transition — between color and light, between material and emotion.
