HAMP is a display of hidden rhythms. An abstract map of textures unfolds in grey and white, like a textile visualization of an aerial view – a neighborhood, light, noise – all constructed from repeating units that dissipate into the background. The rug is hand-woven from natural materials only, with precise attention to changes in density, fiber direction, and shadow. It possesses a graphic poetry, like a language of quiet movement. Gadi Carmel's design asks the eye to slow down – in order to listen.
