HALO IS LIKE A HALO AROUND MEMORY -- LAYERS OF COLOR, MOVEMENT, AND FEELING THAT ORGANIZE AROUND A QUIET CENTER. Its visual structure is a multiplicity of organic shapes — floral, membranous, splintered — in shades of blue, beige and black, with touches of gold and graphic stripes. THE RUG IS HAND-WOVEN FROM ONLY NATURAL MATERIALS, WITH CAREFUL ATTENTION TO EVERY LINE, GROOVE AND SILHOUETTE. The contrast between different textures creates a sense of local movement but also an overall integrity. Gadi Carmel's design draws inspiration from encounters — between cultures, between materials, between worlds.
