GLIMPSE IS DESIGNED AS A FLASH — A MOMENT OF MOVEMENT THAT HAS PASSED BUT LEFT TRACES BEHIND. Open composition, free lines that stretch like a quick drawing, and a natural sense of lightness born of graphic precision. This is a contemporary interpretation of drawing in textiles — a carpet that appears to have been painted, then woven. The carpet is woven by hand, from only natural materials, in techniques that allow freedom of form and delicacy of color. The composition plays on the tension between open space and formative decomposition — thus maintaining a sense of lightness even when the material itself is full. Gadi Carmel's design is based on the dismantling of existing systems and the rebuilding of lines, ideas and inspiration — from a passion for the encounter between textiles, fashion and space.
