GLAZE WAS CREATED FROM AN INVESTIGATION OF LAYERS, COLORS AND CONTINUOUS MOVEMENT. The uneven kimoro, along with the abstract leaf lines, creates a raw yet precise look — like a ceramic surface dried in an open oven. The carpet is hand-woven by veteran craftsmen, using only natural materials. The work process follows a continuous dialogue with the color, with the formality and with the sense of calm that the carpet seeks to bring to the space. Gadi Carmel's design was born out of a belief that a good carpet doesn't “look like” but is built from a sense of material, out of a story, out of life.
