FORST

FORST WAS CREATED FROM AN IMAGINARY WALK IN A FOREST — ONE THAT IS NOT SELF-EVIDENT AND NOT DOMESTICATED. Forest green, black and golden sand are interwoven with fungal and organic forms that create a rhythm of raw nature. The asymmetrical composition feels like it grew out of itself. THE CARPET IS HAND-WOVEN FROM ONLY NATURAL MATERIALS, USING TECHNIQUES THAT EMPHASIZE THE DEPTH OF COLOR, THE TRANSITIONS BETWEEN LAYERS, AND THE FEELING OF ROOTING WITHIN THE SOIL. Every detail in it — from the hole in the lines to the open spaces — feels alive, vibrating and connected to the environment. Gadi Carmel's design echoes the feeling of walking through a forest where every corner tells a different story -- not noisy, but memorable.
