FLARE IS SHAPED FROM A MOMENT OF ERUPTION — ONE THAT COMES FROM SILENCE. An open composition of abstract leaves bursts out of a dark space, like a flame that slowly flares up. The color combinations — mocha, cream, frosty green and dirt gray — give the carpet a presence that brings movement with it. The carpet is woven by hand using traditional techniques, from only natural materials. The artistic work emphasizes the transition between center and periphery, between open space and precise textile detail. Gadi Carmel's design was born from the understanding that space does not always need more — but a single point of light that holds everything.
