CLUE RUG

CLUE IS BASED ON AN ABSTRACT IDEA — A SHAPED CLUE THAT APPEARS AND THEN DISAPPEARS, A LINE THAT DRAWS AND TWISTS BUT DOES NOT REVEAL ALL. A dark green composition with topographic etched lines creates an intuitive sense of movement, like walking through a tangled forest where every step is part of the picture. THE CARPET IS HAND-WOVEN USING TRADITIONAL TECHNIQUES, FROM ONLY NATURAL MATERIALS, EMPHASIZING THE VISUAL VOLUME AND CAREFUL TEXTURE OF THE GROOVE LINES. It envelops the space like an emotional map, telling a story without words. Gadi Carmel's design was born out of a love for shapes that have yet to be completed -- and a sense of slow discovery.
