CAVENDISH CARPET

CAVENDISH IS AN URBAN PAVEMENT THAT HAS BEEN BROKEN -- AND TURNED INTO POETRY. A light gray, almost uniform surface, inside of which delicate cracks in pale shades are doomed. Almost invisible lines form an abstract system of movement, like a map of what is not said. THE CARPET IS HAND-WOVEN FROM ONLY NATURAL MATERIALS, MAINTAINING A CLEAN TEXTURE AND SENSITIVE SHADING BETWEEN LINE AND BACKGROUND. It is silent, almost transparent -- yet unobtrusive. Gadi Carmel's design was born from one long look at a small crack -- and the realization that it is the most complete thing in the room.
