BRONTE CARPET

BRONTE IS A SOFT HAND LINE ON A CLEAN BACKGROUND. Layers in sand, brown, and white subtly range from informal form to graphic structure. It is a carpet reminiscent of silt, but dominated. A flow, but one that is built. It is hand-woven while maintaining a balance between free lines and organized texture. A look at it reveals layers that are not immediately apparent — like a city that needs to be known to understand. Gadi Carmel's design is all about simplicity -- but only apparent.
