BEAUMONT IS A REBORN URBAN SOIL LAYER. Its sandy brown hues and the soft lines surrounding its asymmetrical body are reminiscent of earth that has been cracked — but not broken. THE RUG IS HAND-WOVEN FROM ONLY NATURAL MATERIALS, IN TECHNIQUES THAT EMPHASIZE TEXTILE DEPTH AND A SENSE OF SLOW MOVEMENT AMONG HILLS OF MATERIAL. He brings to the space a subdued warmth, like a quiet walking pace in an old city. Gadi Carmel's design was born out of listening to the language the earth speaks — even when it is already part of the concrete.
